Check Off Use with iCal
Check Off handles ToDo items more effectively than iCal at the moment. I am using Check Off so that I can carry my Check Off ToDo list with me in iCal on my iPod Touch.
Here is a listing of steps to do this. I export my Check Off list to a text file to my Desktop. Then open iCal and open the exported Check Off list in TextEdit. Then select and drag the text list to the first day of the month in Month, Week, or Day views. It is automatically labelled as ToDo at 12AM or anytime I wish and is part of my iCal calendar.
The Check Off list syncs with your iPhone or iPod Touch beautifully and anywhere else you use iCal. Anytime I update my Checkoff ToDo list, I delete the old one and drag a new one to iCal. If I have a hierarchical project with many steps, I can make a project todo list and drag just that list to any day and time on my iCal calendar.

Inappropriate? How are you syncing iCal tasks to the iPod touch? Is there a jailbreak app that does that?
-
Inappropriate?I am just using iCal as Apple intended. I am using iTunes to sync my
iPod Touch with iCal on my iMac.
Apple does not make use of its ToDos in iCal calendar in my iPod.
Check Off works great for that job inside of iCal. I can always find
the Check Off list as I always make it the first day of each month.
Second Gear could automate the process in a future release by making
it a one-step drag-and-drop process.

Inappropriate? Is there a way to import the To Do's I already have set up in iCal into Check Off?

I Export my CheckOff list to my Mac Desktop as a text file. I open the file with TextEdit. Then highlight the portions of my CheckOff ToDos (broken up into three folders Today, Next, Other ToDos). Then highlight/drag the Today todos first into the ToDo Items column of iCal. The same for Next. After that I drag from the iCal ToDo Items column to 12AM of the present day of iCal, the Today group. Then drag to 11PM (end of day) the Next group.
So when I use Calendar on my iPod Touch, Today and Next ToDos are with me where ever I go.
