Download error
When I launched Today, I got a dialog box saying there was an update. After I click on the option to "Install and restart" once the download is done, I get a message saying " there was an error..please try again later" but doesn't say what the problem was or what is needed to fix it. Any suggestions???

Inappropriate?Hi geoff, what version of Today are you running? It should be 1.1.1 (193). If you go to the Today menu and select "About Today' it will tell you.
-
Inappropriate? The version currently installed is 1.0.1 It downloads fine but then when it asks if you want to install and restart, that's when I get the error message.. any suggestions ???

Inappropriate? It might be a permissions thing. You might try dragging the old version to the trash and manually downloading a fresh copy from the Today Web site.

Inappropriate?Won't I lose the license information by doing that? I presume you mean just to drag the file from the applications folder to the trash... but how would I retain the license information?
-
Inappropriate? The license info isn't stored in the app itself, but in your preferences file. As long as you don't delete that, you're good to go.

Inappropriate?Okay, here is what is going on. When I did a search to remove the 1.0.1 folder, I discovered that that the problem was that I had been using the icon for the older version but that the newer version was installed. So I dragged the icon off the dock for the older version and then put the icon for the newer version on the dock. However, I see two things that aren't right. one now there is no icon on the top menu bar of the display, and two, none of my "to do's" are showing up on the new version of Today. Its blank... sorry for all the questions but this is taking a bit of getting used to.. also, is this program filed under some other name other than Today? I can't even locate a folder name Today in either the Applications or Utilities Folder. When I do a SPOTLIGHT search, it shows the various programs but not where they are located.... heavy sigh...

Inappropriate?Disregard the first two issues.. I see now there is a choice in the preferences to have the icon on the menu bar, and also see that now you can choose which of your calendars have their to do's displayed... However, still don't know where the folder was installed for Today... any suggestions?

Inappropriate? You should be able to Spotlight "Today", click on Show All to get a window showing the results. Then control-click on the offending item and select "Open enclosing folder"

Inappropriate? Thanks Justin, it was easier than even the way you suggested. I just let the cursor hover over the different files picked up by Spotlight, and that showed me the path to where the files were... in the users file... dumped and now I am good to go... thanks..
