i don't have leopard and don't want it but i do want check off...can i get an older version that works with tiger 10.4.9

Inappropriate?I don't have older versions available. The Leopard support line basically means I don't have a Tiger machine available to debug any issues you run into with 3.8. You can use 3.8 with Tiger (many do), just be aware of that.

I don't have any older versions around. 3.8 is the only version of the legacy code available.
