Keyboard navigation for the sheet calendar
Is it possible to use the keyboard to navigate the "Go to date..." sheet calendar?
It's a pretty minor issue, but as one of those freaks with 50+ Quicksilver triggers, my mouse and I are not on the best of terms. And I know this has been mentioned before, but next- and previous-day key bindings would be so awesome.

Inappropriate?Good suggestion. I'm not sure how keyboard friendly the NSDatePicker control is, however. I'll look into it further.
The company thinks
this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?Actually, what might work better is a text field below the calendar that has keyboard focus--you could use short- or long-date format to specify a day: "today", "tomorrow", "07/11/08" etc. That'd be even quicker, and probably a lot easier to implement.

Inappropriate? In the original version of that i built, it was just a standard text field that the user could enter anything into to go to the date. I changed to the date picker, because I thought it was a better solution for both novice users and power users.
I actually use my grandmother to test this stuff. She loves her Mac, but she needs to mouse click everything. -
Inappropriate? That's pretty cool that you can test stuff like that--usability is sometimes scoffed, but it really affects everyone. Do you think it'd be too confusing to add the date field beneath the calendar, and have them update each other? In other words, if you clicked on June 29th on the date picker, the text field would change to 06/29/08, and if you typed a date in, it'd become selected in the date picker.

Inappropriate?I think that overcomplicates the sheet. I might re-evaluate the setup down the road and redo the window similar to how iCal does it (open iCal and select View -> Go To Date).
