Task Alarms
Alarms only make sense for tasks in limited context. With Today 1.5 a time for a task defaults to 12:00am, so setting the alarm for any of the default time increments will trigger an alarm somewhere between 10pm - 11:55pm the day before (or 2 days before).
Ultimately I think that if a specific time (1pm, 2pm, 9:43am) is not possible for an task then an alarm isn't appropriate; if you can't control the time of the task the timing of the alarm is difficult.
I would love to be able to set the time of the task and then set the specifics of the alarm a la ical, setting x minutes/hours/days before.
Early beta's of 1.5 had this but the alarm time setting was a bit off. Somewhere between 1.5RC1 and 1.5 release the setting of the time for an task was removed completely, handicapping the setting of the alarm time.

Inappropriate?I pulled back time support because CalendarStore was not taking the time value and storing it, only the date. Why it does that for tasks, but not dates is beyond me, but I filed a bug with Apple about it. I never noticed it since I default tasks to noon personally.
I'm probably going to enhance the Alarms support in a future release so you can set an alarm to run at a specific date & time.
