Inappropriate? The tasks are fetched using Apple-provided routines. It first fetches the uncompleted tasks for the given day. If the user also shows items without a due date, it then appends them to the array using another Apple routine.
I've filed a bug asking for more granular retrieval of items. -
Still, I don't see any order logic - it is not sorting by priority, due date or alphabetically. Should be like iCal where you can choose our own sort order. I would buy if this was fixed. -
Task sorting is coming in Today 1.3, which is currently in testing. Look for it soon. -
Inappropriate?thanks . similar problem then as the entourage "today/my day" window has.
it would be very good then to be able to sort them in some ways and one would be by category/calendar and within that at least have the non priority/due items sorted by alphabet. (i understand you are working on something) . there are two pretty good free apps out there for tasks access only also linked to ical ("out of mind" and the "DoBeDo" widget) both have category/calendar sorting access but your piece would include calendar items which the other two are missing , hence giving a more complete view.
somebody working GTD style with many tasks sorted into context lists and making a more intuitive priority selection and less ABC priority wise, within a context list (category/calendar), won't really be able to use this yet which how the tasks are fetched and displayed. it is not even in alphabetical order but simply very random and therefore frankly not too useful unless one only has a handful of tasks and only works with due dates. in the GTD model, tasks with date time deadlines lines are actually put into the calendar, hence they would show up on there otherwise they would be buried in a category/calendar in ical.
