Notify people if my video must be seen right now - before - they watch it.
I find it hard to "force" people to stop what they are doing in order to view my video (= not very polite). Because I don't really know them & because they surely have something else to do right now.
I would appreciate to notify (post-it) them when my video doesn't need to be seen immediately. -

Please develop some better-looking (Mac-like) skins for Twhirl. Last reply on July 04, 2008 13:36.
Please develop some better-looking (Mac-like) skins for Twhirl. The current skins might look great on Windows, but they really clash with the overall Mac OS X environment (I'm on Leopard 10.5.3). I'm sure there are some great designers out there who might be willing to assist with this. -

Let me hide FriendFeed items from thwirl
It'd be nice to expose Friendfeed's "Hide this" feature from within thwirl. Conversations I'm not interested in tend to keep coming back when friends comment on them. I'd like to say "hide this" early on so I don't get the noise.
Thanks for the great work, thwirl's the most usable way to access Twitter and FriendFeed. -

New feature request: send private videos to a group Last reply on July 03, 2008 03:29.
I'd like to be able to send a private video to a group. This would be a useful feature, e.g. for groups of colleagues or students who want to collaborate on a project that they don't want to make public yet. -

Apply rating to replies
Wouldn't it be nice if we could rate video replies in order to find the best answers in a threaded conversation -

New Option: No Notifications on Startup Last reply on July 01, 2008 20:06.
The screen full of notification windows on startup was funny the first couple of times, but I would like the option to disable these things on startup. -

Notify: Use tray icon to indicate new tweets
I often miss new tweets, because the notification window has already gone when I return to my computer. It would be great, if twhirl indicates unseen messages like email programs do by using a special tray icon, which stays until all messages have been marked as seen. -

blip.tv Last reply on June 13, 2008 21:47.
You currently make it very easy to post a YouTube video, and that is great. It would be terrific if you would support blip.tv and other distribution sites. -

sound equalized from one video to another Last reply on June 26, 2008 18:20.
A Seesmic member had suggested we have the sound equalized from one video to another to avoid having to take the computer sound up and down all the time. Just wanted to save it here as I was thinking about it. -

buffered realtime replies
It would be nice if the flash app recorded responses in a buffer while you watch someone-elses seesmic post, and then you could reply more naturally.
A few seesmiq posts have mad me laugh and its would be nice to share some of that real laughter. -

control positioning
so i have noticed that its really hard to keep your eyes on the camera, and it would help if the controls for your post were close to it. so i think i would be nice if you could some how position the stop button close to the camera so you are looking at the camera when you stop. -

Plurk.com on Twhirl Please! Last reply on June 17, 2008 16:03.
You think http://www.plurk.com can be added to twhirl?
I like the fact that Twhirl post to both pownce and Twitter. It would be nice if Plurk could also be added to the list.

Icon to indicate if someone you are following is also following you. Last reply on June 29, 2008 04:42.
I'd really love to see some indicator that would tell if the tweets are from followers. It would be great to know if i might have missed getting to know someone that I'm following. -

we need to be able to subscribe to video replies. Last reply on June 28, 2008 16:10.
we need a way to get notified of new videos in a conversation. for example, if i _start_ a thread, i'll only get the next video reply in my inbox,
anyone else who replies sends the reply to a subsequent video so that some random person in the thread will get an inbox notification of the thread.
we need a checkbox that enables posters to a thread to subscribe to subsequent comments to the thread. this will ensure posters get all the responses to their video. -

Shift-enter to insert line breaks
Sometimes I like to insert line breaks into a post. Most apps use shift-enter for this. I'd like to see such support in twhirl. -

creating seesmic groups by giving dynamic posting power to websites with embedded seesmic threads
odd that on your great video blog you would have feature requests submitted in writing. oh well . . .
Let's see if I can state this simply. (you could see a very short posted thread entitled "seesmic groups or topics" on Friday morning (6/27) that explains in brief what my idea is . . . but if you want it in writing . . . )
I think it would be a good idea, and a potentially profitable one for seesmic, to include links to websites using seesmic threads for specific educational, instructional, or business purposes rather than creating groups and topics on the seesmic website itself. The linked websites with embedded seesmic threads should have the ability to delete unwanted posts i.e. posts not in keeping with the purpose of the website. This would eliminate the problem of the seesmic staff having to monitor groups and topics by putting the responsibility onto the embedded web master.
The added features would include the ability to post private conversations to and from an embedded thread, and giving the web master embedding a thread the ability to delete posts.
Here's the money-making potential: seesmic could charge a fee for providing the disk space and technology needed to host interactive video blogs.
