Recently active topics in Seesmic tagged with notification

Working on Windows with dual monitors, I often don't notice the growl-style notifications and don't want to set them to render for a longer time.. It'd be really cool if the System Tray icon changed somehow to indicate that there new new tweets to read. Google Notifier is an appropriate example.

I would like to be able to change the notification sounds in Twhirl. The dings are ok, but they're really not what I associate with tweets (I much prefer Twitterific's bird sounds for tweet notifications). Think this is doable?

I'd love to see some other way of notification other than Twitter. The Twitter integration is cool, but on videos kept private, you have to login to see them. If that would send a direct message when a video is private, or an email, it would be helpful.

Logging in to check messages is frustrating. It's like having another email account. The service is great, just needs some extra notifications!

The screen full of notification windows on startup was funny the first couple of times, but I would like the option to disable these things on startup.

I don't find it convenient that twitter notification is the default setting, and there is no way to change that in the Settings. So everytime we post a video (which is quite often in my case) I would have to think of unclicking the twitter notification. I overcame that problem by deleting my password in the twitter tab, but then when I actually feel like I should send a notification, I have to first reset the entire twitter profile (sometimes I don't remember my password, so it means getting it from where I have stored it, how unconvenient!)

When it would be so pleasant, to have my default choice made free: I want to have the "twitter notification" unclicked, and would click it vonluntarily (sp?) whenever I find it valuable.

Please tell me it's an easy feature to implement! Thanks.
