instead of having to have 2 separate windows open for identi.ca & twitter cant we have a option to have them in one ?

i like having friendfeed seperate but i hate having the Micro-blogging sites seperate

This is another feature I used in Tweetr and found very handy:

when starting to type
d xyz or
@xyz
the username is autocompleted based on your followers' list.
(I know the same can be achieved by clicking the icons on the profile after hovering, but that user might not be in your timeline ... and I'm a keyboard type of guy :)

How about showing the "In reply to"-tweets inside of twhirl instead of opening a new Firefox-Window? Would be more convenient.

we need a way to get notified of new videos in a conversation. for example, if i _start_ a thread, i'll only get the next video reply in my inbox,

anyone else who replies sends the reply to a subsequent video so that some random person in the thread will get an inbox notification of the thread.

we need a checkbox that enables posters to a thread to subscribe to subsequent comments to the thread. this will ensure posters get all the responses to their video.

It would be nice if the flash app recorded responses in a buffer while you watch someone-elses seesmic post, and then you could reply more naturally.

A few seesmiq posts have mad me laugh and its would be nice to share some of that real laughter.

This is a feature request for something I think might be interesting and useful, although the second part is more complex.

Essentially, Twhirl will allow you to click the @ button for a friend multiple times (but does not with the envelope button). This means that you could conceivably fill the entire message window with their name. Pointless, of course, but possible.

What I propose is twofold:

1. Simple solution: just check if the last word in the textbox is the @name that would be inserted by the click and if so, ignore the click event.
2. Complex solution: parse strings of users (i.e. @user1 @user2 @user3) and don't allow the @ button to add a user twice... BUT if there are any intervening non-user words (i.e. after "that" or even "Thought" in "@user1 @user2 @user3 Thought that @user1 raised a good point") then allow any users to be re-clicked.

I'm not entirely sure the second point was clear enough, so let me know if not :)

Graphical threaded view—it would be nice to be able to navigate back to the top level of replies, see who's said what on a subject, see how the discussion has progressed. I feel like this should be a part of Seesmic, and I'm unhappy that I can't use it now. Sniff.
