I like that you provide a few link-related options when you right-click on a URL, however I would sooooooo love it if could add "copy link to clipboard" among them. Pretty please?

twhirl won't launch after re-install

I'm on a new wireless network and twhirl does not launch. It is saved to c:/program files/twhirl. I uninstalled and reinstalled this morning. Still no launch.

Please develop some better-looking (Mac-like) skins for Twhirl. The current skins might look great on Windows, but they really clash with the overall Mac OS X environment (I'm on Leopard 10.5.3). I'm sure there are some great designers out there who might be willing to assist with this.

"No notification for old messages" doesn't work

The option "no notifications for old messages on start", added on Twhirl 0.8.3; doesn't work as expected.

When I load Twhirl, I get notifications for every single reply and DM anyway.

Program crashes after trying to send a message. Please help.

I am unable to tweet from the twhirl client. I receive message updates from people, but if I type in a message or reply to a message and hit send update, I get the popular windows error "twhirl.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I am running windows XP SP2. Please help! I've triend uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Links opening in new Firefox Window instead of Tab :-(

Hi, clicking on links actually open a new window in Firefox instead of creating a new Tab in an existing window, and it's slightly annoying after a while.

All other apps, Twitterific, Mail, Vienna, etc... work as expected.

This could come from the AIR Runtime but I'm a XUL kinda guy :-)

Env: Mac Leopard / Firefox 3, set as default Browser

The more people I follow, the harder it is to segregate tweets to pick out people that only tweet periodically. It would be nice to be able to filter people in lists or based on statistics. For example a slider that says show me tweets from people with less that 10 tweet per hour/day, etc. Also allow me to create inclusive and exclusive groups to filter by. For example, not active could be (all - (person a, person b, person q, etc).

Twhirl doesn't recognise my Twitter password.

Twhirl worked OK in v.0.8.2, but I upgraded to v0.8.3 and my Twitter password is no longer recognised. I have reset the password in Twitter, and tried uninstalling both Air and Twhirl, but with no luck. I just get prompted to re-enter the password over and again

UI responds haphazardly to user input during poll.

It appears that accessing the twitter API is not threaded in twhirl. So the UI is freezing while you update and then not clearing the UI queue so that if I was scrolling when you poll you suddenly allow all of those inputs (scrolling, clicking, etc) to replay and cause havoc in the UI. So, please flush the queue or prevent input (glass pan) and put up a wait icon while you're doing synchronous polling and/or thread the background operations

Tried 0.8.1, 0.8.2 & 0.8.3....Nothing works??? Adobe AIR problem???

I have not been able to use any version of Twhirl - I tried 0.8.1, 0.8.2 and the latest 0.8.3 as well....No one will let me connect....It logs me in but fails to receive tweets, directs and other stuff...I don't know how but for exactly one time I remember the latest version did receive everything and was the only time I have ever used the client....Now as none of the versions are not connecting, is there a problem with Adobe Air? I am currently using Adobe AIR 1.1.0.5790...I did reinstall all the clients as well as AIR, but nothing seemed to help...I am using AIR on Windows XP SP 2...Any comments? Can I view sent and received direct messages in the same window?

I recently joined the Twhirl community and I enjoy it a lot; very useful; thanks!

Did I miss a step in the configuration to view my send direct messages not in the general window but in the same window as received direct messages? In other words, the @ window shows both sent and received messages to each other, so why not show both in the direct messaging window?

If it *is* an option, how do I set it up?

I log in, but get immediately booted. I can see that it's showing me current tweets, but I only stay connected for a second (at best). I miss my twhirl!

Twhirl 0.8.3 is entirely broken. It will stay like this for hours and not update at all. Sometimes if I restart Twhirl it does ok, others not. This happens on multiple machines, with different accounts.

Bad error handling?
