New feature request: send private videos to a group Last reply on July 03, 2008 03:29.
I'd like to be able to send a private video to a group. This would be a useful feature, e.g. for groups of colleagues or students who want to collaborate on a project that they don't want to make public yet. -

I still get a "connection lost" message when posting a video Last reply on June 30, 2008 17:02.
Good morning, Seesmic. I realize this is old news, but just need to let you know this is still happening. After I record a video on Firefox or Safari, I receive a semi-transparent screen with a "connection lost" message. I can still see and hear the video replaying, but when I click "ok" (my only choice), it all disappears.This has been happening since Wednesday, June 25. On Sunday, June 29, I gained the capability of recording 10 second videos without getting the message.
I'm using a MacBook with all updates. I just checked my cable-based internet connection speed: it is 4471 for download and 245 for upload. I've not had any connection interruption issues with other programs, including file uploading on YouSendIt.com which is relatively sensitive. HELP! -

I'm trying to upload a video as seesmic doesn't recognize my microphone. However, the upload button seems to have disappeared or I'm a complete idiot and can't find it when I try to upload the video. Help? -

I have installed the WP plugin, however after leaving a video comment it will not play the complete video, only audio, and also does not play on the site, but rather redirects to your site. Is there a way insure the video plays through as well on my site?

Written words sometimes neccesary as additional help for the watcher.
Well, if I post a video on my blog, i have all the possibilities to add pictures and the correct URL's I want people to lead to. But if i'm inside seesmic i have to guess waht i heart.
an absolute great way would be the possibility to add text to the video, but i guess we're far away from that one.

Twittered Seesmic video links don't play. Last reply on June 20, 2008 00:10.
Seesmic links posted to twitter don't play anymore more for me, the page does come up, the video box just doesn't play.
If I take the video hash (ie: the QGHvhBmrST part of http://seesmic.com/videos/QGHvhBmrST) I can use that on other seesmic urls just fine, or go into the full seesmic site and find the video there and play it. It was working a couple of weeks back I'm sure, just doesn't now. -

changing video status
Can you please change all my video status to public that I exchanged with @romaincorraze, I sent them as exclusivelry private video by error.
Apparently I can't do it by myself, so can you please do it for me? I can't publish those vidéo to my blog and that's annoying because I wanted to interact with my reader on seesmic.
I spent two hours recording them, so can you please help me by changing the status from private to public ?

occasional odd behavoir
Still occasional odd behavoir using Black Seesmic site. Auto refresh not working. Video quality appears inconsistent, no specific time of day or number of other users on service. time. Some videos I have allowed to auto play for confidence after recording never made it to public time line or to Private message. Total number unknown, do not think it is many (guessing 5-10). Last night may have been most. Learned of easy work around using view Profile to avoid show/topic refresh problem.

Scroll wheel on a Mac never worked but does on PC's to navigate Public as well as following, inbox and sent time lines. -

autoplay continues with audio when replying to vid

video formats: why only .mp4 and .flv when uploading?
My phone shoots 3GP videos, and my point-and-shoot camera shoots AVI ones.
Making seesmic mobile would be AWESOME, but to do that you need to support all (or almost all) formats out there. Also, .flv is for flash video, which is the result of converting .mp4 or .avi files on sites like flickr, youtube, et cetera.
thus, my suggestion: start supporting more video formats, especially if you think about next generation of users, which would like to upload videos shot from their cellphones (via their cellphones).
