Apache HTTP 403 Forbidden error
Basic authentication from Thwirl against my laconica installation is generating 403 Forbidden responses from Apache. Testing using IE or similar results in success (i.e xml payload displayed). Any help greatfully received...

Inappropriate?Hi,
could you provide some more information of what site you are trying to access, and what you enter as username?
A 403 is usually not a wrong username/password combination, but the server refusing to fulfill the request for any reason.
Which URL did you try in your browser?
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Fixed it. The first problem was fixed by changing the api.php to change how the username/password is submitted via the API. I had to do this as we use Siteminder as a secure proxy, and so the Siteminder password being passed through to the API was not matching what was stored when the users accoutns are created as. The second problem was actually my Siteminder agent which was blocking requests due to no cookie being supported (by thwirl). I fixed this by changing the Siteminder web agent to not require cookies (the default is) - this then fixed my problem!
I’m slightly rippled with a flat underside
