auto url shortening missing
A feature that is implicit in Tweetr but is explicit in Twhirl is URL shortening. For me, URLs should be shortened automatically (I don't care about the used service), only when I explicitly want to keep the copy-pasted url I should be able to undo with CTRL+Z.

Inappropriate?I definitely would like to see this feature. Ideally, I should be able to pick the shortening service that I prefer (bit.ly in my case) and have the auto-shortening use bit.ly in the background to shorten my urls automagically.

Inappropriate?I like this idea, only I suggest Ping.fm's approach; if the URL should not be shortened, put a '-' before it. And I'd like to vote for tr.im support, preferably with login so shortened URLs are added to my account.
