Can't download Twhirl whatsover...
Getting an error downloading Twhirl, using both the manual option and the automatic option. Automatic option tries to download Adobe AIR, then near the end of the download encounters a problem and asks me to retry... Manual option appears to DL AIR ok, but when I try to install the Twhirl.air file, it tells me that the air file is no good. Running OSX 10.5.2

Inappropriate?Angie, any chance you would be able to email a screenshot of the errors to thomas at seesmic.com ?
I’m hopeful
-
I sent two, thanks much for the super fast reply! -
Inappropriate?I get told that I have a bad air file. have reinstalled air several times but still not working for me.
I’m frustrated

I am on vista i forgot to mention that. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem to, and I run XP. I don't think it's a matter of what the error looks like as it is with the file. You really got to fix that file.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? The downloads are working now! Yay! Big thanks to everyone at Twhirl for the quick resolution, especially Thomas and the developers! You guys rock!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Occasionally, you might have a disruption in your internet connection during the download process, resulting in an unusable file. Our best guess is that your browser caches that file and wont attempt to re-download the file, but instead uses the same file you already downloaded.
Hopefully, this could be resolved by clearing your cache, clearing your download list, and/or restarting your browser.
However, if the file still does not work for you, send an email to thomas at seemsic.com and I can send you the file.
I’m purtrubed by silly browsers (i.e. all of them)

Inappropriate?I tried restarting my browser and deleting some of my cookies.
See this:

My best guess is that Adobe is really stressing out now.
I’m used to the constant errors and such

Inappropriate?Clearing the Temp Files Cache (Windows Vista IE7) fixed me. Thanks!!!
Cleared the cache, redownloaded (this time the file was bigger).
I didn't need to close the browser.
It installed cleanly with no errors.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Thanks for the tip. I deleted all traces of Twhirl. I cleared my Cache. Deleted all adobe products. Reloaded Adobe. rebooted. Cleared my Cache again. Tried to load Twhirl - got a message saying adobe air was corrupt.
Good-bye Twhirl....
I’m frustrated

Hi Ed, if you can email me at thomas at seesmic dot com I can send you a file directly, to test if it works? -
Inappropriate?Well, I guess you're screwed, Twhirl. All your Windows based users are history.
I’m laughing at this whole charade.
-
Inappropriate?Sounds like this issues isn't solved for all users, so I would like to gather more info from anyone who is still having trouble. If you can email me at thomas at seesmic dot com I can send you a file directly to test.
I’m hoping this will help
-
So, is there any solution for that one?
