can't post to seesmic. get "you must record a video" validation error

i've been on seesmic today with the wp plug in which works great aside from a few strange things. i thought videos posted to the plugin wouldn't appear elsewhere but they do...on my friendfeed etc.

the big problem though is i am unable to post videos through the new white interface. pretty basic huh? below is a screen grab of the behavior. i've had this issue on both ff3.0.5 and safari

another point of weakness is the new user signup page. the response after clicking submit is very laggy. so bad that it doesn't appear to work!
