Can't upgrade Twhirl because Apollo won't let me
When I try to upgrade Twhirl to v.8.4, I get an Adobe Apollo error message: "This application requires a version of the Adobe Apollo runtime which is no longer supported. Please contact the application author for an updated version."
I have the latest version of Apollo and a new install.
Any ideas what's going on?

Inappropriate?Good morning Robclock. I hope all is well with you (aside from this little issue)
Apollo was the older name for the framework that Twhirl runs on. If you are getting errors that refer to Apollo, I would go ahead and uninstall any of the runtimes related to Apollo that remain on your system and install the latest version of AIR that you can acquire from: http://www.adobe.com/products/air/
Let us know how it goes..
and have a totally fantastic day!

I just re-downloaded and installed Air from Adobe's site this morning...I didn't remove anything else first. Where would I go to find and remove any old Apollo installations in OSX?
Thanks.

Inappropriate? There is an uninstaller for AIR in /Applications.
is there one for Apollo? -
Inappropriate?Go to ./Library/Frameworks/ (not YourUsername/Library) and delete the folder named “Adobe Apollo.framework“.
If that still doesn't fix it, download the 8.4 Installer, right click and select "Open With..." then choose the Adobe Air Installer (It's trying to default to apollo which is obviously outdated). -
I removed Apollo from my Applications => Utilities folder and now all seems to be fine. I'll go remove the framework now, too. Thanks for your help
