Choice of URL shorteners or selection to use none at all?
Can we get a choice of URL shorteners rather than being forced to use Twitter's choice of TinyURL? Or even better a choice not to use one at all. If I don't need to shorten my URL to fit into 140 characters why should I? I understand this is mostly Twitter but is there anything Twhirl can do since I know myself and many others use it for almost everything related to Twitter?
I’m happy with Twhirl and only want it to be better

Inappropriate?Twhirl already provides the option to select between 3 url shortening services. Just click the little chain link icon to the right of the input area.

Inappropriate?Well, as far as I've seen using that it doesn't save it as a setting or anything. At that point I might as well just go to the service, or use a bookmarklet, to generate a shortened URL. I was asking more on the lines of if we could set a preference for it, unless it's already there and I'm missing it somehow...

I would love to see the ability for users to customize the "shorten URL" service list. It would be great for people to be able to add their "shortener of choice" to Twhirl.

Inappropriate?I actually like having the full URL visible when there is room for it. Many web sites today already converted to shorter URLs that fit well into a message i.e. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/mag... or http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/10/i...

Inappropriate?I would like to use www.tr.im with my user-account since I get this nice Click-Statistiks then...
So please add other services or add a configuratio (file?) to add them myself and please add a userlogin for thos services that support userlogin.
