Establishing connection? I can't record.

Hello, have you got any ideas why I can't post now. I bet there's some little thing I'm missing. I tried quitting other programs, checking my system preferences, checking flash settings, logging out and back in, coming back the next day, restarting my mac and restarting firefox. As you might know I just use a mic and not a camera to post. I don't think that has anything to do with it though. When I try to record I don't get the red bottom in the middle. It says establishing connection in the upper right hand corner when i hit the red button on the top. That's when I usually get the big red button in the middle but now it's not appearing. The button in the lower left doesn't work either. I posted a couple of weeks age no problem. I'm afraid I might be embarrassed when I find out what it its but I'm going ask anyway. edit: I just thought of another factor. I just upgraded to firefox 3.
