Inappropriate?Has the twitter API changed? I have the same problem with Twhirl (Linux) and Twitteriffic (Mac). The API docs say the request requires a POST, and that's the message I get back from Twitter when I try to create a favourite via curl.
But of course the API docs don't say what should be in the body of the POST. I'm guessing they were previously forgiving of GET requests for the fav API calls and are now being strict.
I’m mildly annoyed

Inappropriate?Very frustrating to not have Favorites available in Twhirl. I rely on them to save links to go back and read. Since it's difficult these days to explore old tweets, Favorites are even more critical.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hm... That's no good! I'll check in on that. Thanks for reporting this. (I don't really use favorites, so I hadn't seen this yet.)

ticketed, and in the pipeline -
Inappropriate?I saw elsewhere (same problem regarding Twitterific) that Twitter's API for Favorites may have changed, FYI.
I’m indifferent

Hi Ewen, thanks for dropping in to add that info. And, it's true, they changed a few things that broke the current version of twhirl. We have a fix on the way. It will come as an update in twhirl, and I will update this tread as well once it goes live. -
Inappropriate? The same happens when you try to follow someone within twhirl. Limit exceeded, etc.
-
Inappropriate?Alas, I also am having favorites-problems. Didn't see an error message. I marked about 3-4 posts as favorites earlier today, but those posts aren't showing up as favorites in either Twitter online or within Twirl. I'm using 0.8.4.
I’m bummed

Yep. I think it's the same cause, just a difference in the manifestation of the problem. I'm going to make another point in a minute, as a new reply. -
Inappropriate? All right, given Adam Lasnik's recent reply to this thread, I think there should be at least a post on Twhirl Status about the problem, so users know functions that were switched to POST-only will not work until Twhirl is updated. The yellow box was added to keep users apprised of what is happening in the Twhirl-iverse, so please use it, Seesmic peeps.
I’m annoyed that the problem still exists, but not surprised that reports are still coming in, considering the lack of communication from the developers
