Hard to clear "search user" box in app
Mac OS 10.5 / FF .
Successfully used "search user" to find one person (using seesmic user ID) to add to follow list. However, there is no "clear" button and the tool does not allow highlight/delete. Closing and re-opening several times does not clear the box either.
The first way I found to clear is to QUIT the application! This seems like a major -- major! -- bug. Either that or there's something really non-intuitive about the interface. So I tried again -- even though there is no feedback (I can't see the cursor in the box), I tried placing it at the "end" of a name and using the backspace key to see if that would clear. It does. But I tried to do this only because I have a "tester" hat on, not because i would have done so otherwise. With no feedback that the cursor is in fact in the box, you're making this a lot harder than it needs to be.
Having to close that mini-app (search) before being able to do anything else is also very annoying. No functional issue, just emotional one.

Inappropriate?I am using the same specs as you, and was able to highlight and delete my previous search. You just cannot /see/ that the text has been selected.
I can see the cursor in the entry box, and can place it at the end of the text and backspace it out as well. jsyk. -
Inappropriate?Hi, Critter -- the fact that it is invisible (ie, there is no way to know that the word has been highlighted) makes this function un-usable. Should be a red light/stopper.
I’m frustrated
