How do I change Twhirl's color scheme on Mac OS 10.4

I really like twhirl-it's snappy and well-designed. My single qualm (and the reason I currently prefer Snitter) is that the default color scheme is a nightmare with my Mac OS 10.4 machine. I did some delving, and i found a folder full of xml colorschemes, but I have no idea how to apply them. I'd appreciate any help..
