Intergration with Yammer
Will you be offering integration with Yammer? At Mozilla, we're currently starting to use Yammer but I really would prefer not to have another AIR app for it.

No update on the integration right now. We have a significant list of new features for the upcoming release. We can then consider this request after that release is out. Thanks for you excitement though!
It would be interesting to hear why y'all would like to use twhirl instead of yammer's own AIR client. That would help us better understand what you are looking for, when we consider this idea.

Inappropriate?Hi ReyBango, thanks for popping in here to ask this question. (I'm actually going to ask GetSatisfaction to switch this to an idea.) The first step towards this even being possible is for yammer to provide an open API. We will keep our eyes open, but if you hear about this please hop back on here and let us know.
I’m intrigued

Inappropriate? Will do but there must be a way since there's a Firefox add-on add-on called Yammer Time https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire... and I know that the author doesn't work for Yammer.
I’m thankful

Thanks for pointing that out. They still don't have a public API yet, so it'll be interesting to find out what they're doing. =) -
Inappropriate?Yammer's API will be available soon, so Thwirl and other apps can integrate it.

Inappropriate? So the API is now out. Is integration being worked on? Just wondering.

Inappropriate? The API has been out for a week or two now, are you guys working on it?

Inappropriate?Hi all, just wanted to let you know that we have announced we will be adding yammer integration in the future. It is not on the timeline for immediate release though. So, I will update this thread when it's coming out.

Inappropriate? That's odd, I have already added my Yammer account at Ping.fm. :-)
-
Nevermind, you are from Seesmic, not Ping.fm. -
Inappropriate? This would be awesome. AIR apps already take enough system resources and the fewer I have to run at any given time the better.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Any update on this guys? I hate having twitterific and the yammer client open - this would definitely make me switch to twhirl.

Inappropriate? The main reasons I want to switch:
1. Screen space/running apps. I'd rather have one running than two (twitterific/yammer). This is by far the most important reason.
2. The yammer air client has some annoying bugs - the scroll bar doesn't scroll right occasionally (jitters up and down), resizing the window screws up often (window jumps all over the place), and it's consistently using 4-5% of my CPU at idle (this is an AIR thing I hear though.) -
Inappropriate?I agree.
1) why use two apps while you can have all in one? And since you are adding other services, my question is "why not Yammer"?
It's pretty simple, works like Twitter (it's almost a duplicate)..
2) each air app eat a lot of resources, so integrate everything in one app is way better.
3) I love Twhirl and would like everything together :)
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I've always found AIR applications to be resource hogs and so try to run as few as possible.
Plus with the amount of effort you guys put into twirl it is more likely to be awesome then yammers app is.
I’m excited
