Is support for the bit.ly URL shortening service planned?
Pretty simple: I love the functionality that bit.ly offers in addition to just URL shortening, and so would love to have it as an option within Twhirl.

Inappropriate?Although a question and not an official "idea", I'd like to see this happen as well and hear from the Seesmic team on it.

Inappropriate?bit.ly support is already in the new private build. Go to twhirl.org to sign up as a tester.

Inappropriate?I would also like this to be integrated into my history of my bit.ly account. Right now in the preview it doesn't really do this. In bit.ly I like to see my link shortening history and CTs.
Is there a plan to add this support?
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Criag,
I am not a Seesmic employee but I'm not sure what you are asking for. The dialog in twhirl allows you to enter a username and API key and it does tie into your account.
I can see all of my link history when I go to http://bit.ly/

Inappropriate?Jauder,
I am aware of this, however it does not retain my information for bit.ly URL shortening.
Is there a way to ensure that it does save my information (user ID and API key) for bit.ly?
Craig
(I am running the most current preview release)
I’m undecided

Hi Craig, thanks for the report. This has been an issue, and is fixed for the final release.
