Limit Eceeded ???
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?I assume you are referring to twhirl. Twitter has limited it's API use severely today. At current, I believe it is down to 10 requests per hour. You can check status at http://status.twitter.com. You can also adjust this in the twhirl network settings by clicking the wrench.

Inappropriate?I just downloaded Twhirl at a friend's suggestion, and so far, I'm having the same problem. I push to refresh and get "limit exceeded" every time. I did adjust in the twhirl network settings, but no change.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I'm getting this problem the instant I open Twhirl ever since the update to 0.8.3
I can't be exceeding any limit :(
I’m frustrated (not exactly important in the grand scheme of life though is it)

Unfortunately, twitter has been severely limiting API access lately. You can always view their information directly via http://twitter.com/account/rate_limit_status.xml -
Thomas...
I'm fairly sure that no other applications were eating into my API usage (and definitely had nothing else running on any of my boxes).
What I can't understand is why Twhirl just sits there for at least 10 minutes before it manages to retrieve any replies at all. I had not used *any* of my allowance when I first opened up Twhirl, so it doesn't matter what Twitter have set the cap to...
I'll have another look at a Wireshark trace later on if I get chance to repeat the problem, (but have enough on my plate at the moment)... It's not a major issue if I have to wait 10mins for it to start working, just a minor annoyance..
Regards
Chris
ps Thanks for the great response time in your reply... -
Inappropriate?Twitter has raised their limit to 100requests / hours today, problem should be fixed by itself
I’m happy
