I'm not really using one at the moment.
There's AlertThingy and Feedalizr, and of those two Feedalizr is the best.. but far from the intuitiveness that is Twhirl.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say it sucks.
There's also Socialthing, but it's really slow.
I've gone as far as to put my RSS feed of my friends updates into Google Reader.
I could also just keep Facebook and Myspace open all day, but that's annoying.
This would be an absolute _killer_ feature if Twhirl brings it in.
