threading on @ replies does not match Twitter web behavior
Twhirl is great but threading on @ replies seems to have a bug. I have tested behavior on 2 other clients. If I do @someperson from Twhirl then my tweet is linked to most recent tweet by someperson. This is wrong if it is an old tweet by someperson! The Twitter web client does it correctly - if I click on reply for an older tweet by someperson, it always "links" my reply to the correct tweet. Sorry if you know this. Congrats on a great product!

Inappropriate? It seems that the &in_reply_to_status_id= parameter is missing.
If the API allows it, it should be implemented.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Twitter changed how the default replies work, so now if you don't specify the in_reply_to_status_id, it is not linked to ANY tweet. I am always careful about replying to the correct tweet on the web and in TweetDeck, so I will not be using Twhirl until they make this simple fix.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? It's frustrating, especially because I often carry on multiple simultaneous conversations with twhirl users and their replies are no longer linked. @trip_tucker just provided me with the impetus to come looking for this thread. Since the API returns status IDs, it should be pretty simple to add support for in_reply_to_status_id and properly tag replies.
I’m confident that this can be solved easily

Inappropriate? This has been fixed as of v0.9. Thank you for your feedback!
