twhirl 0.9 on Ubuntu doesn't save password, accounts gone
I just upgraded to twhirl 0.9 on Ubuntu 8.04, Air 1.5.
Twhirl doesn't save my twitter password, although I check the remember box.
Also, the accounts tab is empty, although I have my account setup (I can login and receive updates). The accounts.xml file seems fine.
What can be done?

where should be the accounts.xml on an Ubuntu system? Can't find it and no description at http://www.twhirl.org/node/129 -
~/.appdata/de.makesoft.twhirl.[longnumber]/Local Store - But I guess this is a problem with Gnome's Seahorse keychain. I've changed my login password during the Jaunty setup... -
@frumble thanks for the tip, didn't find this dir before.
There is also s log file in it, and for me it seems to be 2 probs:
5/6/2009 06:36:48.657 [ERROR] twhirl TwhirlAccount - storing password for XXXXXXX failed, error: general internal error
and also:
5/6/2009 06:40:43.519 [ERROR] TwitterLib VO - error parsing XML: Unknown data type: activeSearches
hope that this helps for a fix -
Inappropriate?maximilian@Mongo:/opt/twhirl/bin$ ./twhirl
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
libgnome-keyring.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
For me, Twhirl saves the configuration of the Twitter account (except for the Ping.fm key and of course the password) but *deletes* every start the Bleeper.de (Laconica) account.
Idea: This could be a problem through the updated keyring stuff in Jaunty Jackalope.
I’m frustrated

Oh yeah! This was the solution for me: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?... -
Inappropriate?Use getlibs as described here:

Worked for me (jaunty 64-bit).
