Unfortunately, this seems to be an issue with Adobe AIR on OSX. We cannot solve this in twhirl, as opening links is handled by the AIR runtime and the operating system. twhirl does not add the %00 to the end of the URL when it asks to open it.
Our tests have shown that it occurs when your a using OSX and links open in latest WebKit builds. Try choosing another default browser to check if it solves the problem for you.
If you see the %00 added to URLs on another OS/browser combination, please let us know!
I’m hoping this helps

Inappropriate?Marco, I changed the default back to Safari and the URLs work fine. Thanks for the tip. Now Adobe needs to correct that.
I’m happy now
-
Inappropriate?has anyone filed a bug with adobe or apple? hands up if yes otherwise i will, coz this is really annoying!
-
The bug is in the Webkit bugzilla under number #17482: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?...
Maybe if we register and vote for the bug that they will do something about it. -
Yes, please register and vote for this bug at WebKit's bugzilla if you want this bug to be fixed. I've added my vote and some notes in the hopes that this will be brought back to the attention of the WebKit developers. -
Inappropriate?is this solved by AIR 1.1 ? It works now for me
-
I have AIR 1.1 and am still experiencing this problem. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Upstream either Apple or Adobe are not responsive? This makes using twhirl a painful experience.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? An Adobe employee responded to this bug at the WebKit Bugzilla, and verified that Adobe are aware of the issue. A fix for this should be arriving in the next release of Adobe AIR. Yay!
I’m happy
