Video comment plugin not showing well except...

I installed the Seesmic video comment plugin and it (the videos and the button to publish a comment) was displayed at the very bottom of my page. I deleted all the "display:block; clear:both;" from your plugin source and now it works fine.
So my question is: do you really need to put a display block and clear both in your plugin or you can get rid of it and it'll work just fine everywhere?
