Why won't Seesmic comments talk to Disqus comments in WordPress?
I would really like to have the Seesmic WordPress plugin work on my blog, but it won't show if I'm using Disqus. To have Seesmic comments, I'd need to remove Disqus where my comments are. Once I deactivate Disqus, I lose my comments on my blog. Is there any way to overcome this?

Inappropriate?Hi. That would be an ideal solution. I like using Disqus but have had to disable because I like Seesmic more.
I’m waiting hopefully!

Hi Sean
Yes it has but there is a continuing problem which I'm waiting to have solved. My problem is this ... if I activate Disqus (which now does have Seesmic included ... you're right there) I lose all of my Wordpress comments. I don't want this to happen. I'd like to be able to activate Disqus AND then import all my existing Wordpress comments. I'd happily use Disqus exclusively then. It's a great plugin. -
Inappropriate?maybe i'm missing something but here is the option page for disqus on my wordpress comments section.
one has choices on where they want disqus comments to show up without losing any existing comments.

Hi Sean
thanks for your note. I am aware that the option to 'replace all entries with no comments' is available, but it's not what I want for my blog as it disorganises the commenting. I queried this on the Disqus blog a while back and got this response (screenshot) http://flickr.com/photos/dramagirl/25... -
Inappropriate? You cannot import (that i know) your previous comments into Disqus. you /can/ enable Disqus to cover all comments from here on out.. which will allow you to use the seesmic plugin (for any previous comments) /and/ Disqus together..
