One of our twirl users reported that they would like the ability to see twitpic pictures inline with the tweet. It sounds like they would like twhirl to load the image in the tweet itself. Maybe after clicking the url? Maybe automatically?
Well this is a given really, but since Friendfeed brought out support for groups in their beta site, Twhils should of course support these ;)
perhaps via a customisable tab interface, or some kind of search/command query as you do with rooms.
But in any case, there should be an option to set the default view, to one of those groups (or rooms, while you are at it). So I would imagine a checkbox that says something like "make this the default view".
Come to think of it, you could do this for just about any viewable item in Twhirl. There have been loads of time I just wanted to follow a single person for a while, or a room, or how about a search query?
If later on Twhirl starts to support its own groups, being able to set a particular group as the defauilt view is of course also cool.
It would be kickass if we could easily jump to the first video of a conversation from any reply. It's often desirable to start watching a conversation from the beginning, and being able to do that with a single click would be easier than scrolling all the way down one page at a time. Thanks!
I would love to be able to choose the color scheme/theme individually for each account. That would make it visually easier to manage multiple twitter accounts. Because they all look the same, I've posted on the wrong twitter account on a few different occasions.
You could have a color picker somewhere on the screen? For different colored layouts?
Different colored players?
Ajax at either side, flash everywhere else to help load times?
Fully blowin profiles? And just have the mini profile at the side?
The list could go on for a bit, but its not about what i want, its about what the public want, as a whole. So contact me back in some form, seesmic/imanto or email.
would be very cool if jaiku could be integrated into twhirl not just for sending updates, but for also showing the whole timeline, followers, etc (just like the twitter integration).
The ability to search for other users on Seesmic who have similar interests. This could be easily done by allowing users to add tags to their profiles describing their interests, such as news, music, sushi, whatever. I'm presuming this was already thought of, but it would be great to see it go live on the site.
It would be great to see a list of the people I am following who are online. Of course I can see if they are posting to the timeline, but if someone I'm following is just "lurking" it would be cool to know he or she is there.
Probably this would be an optional setting, such that if someone wants to lurk without anyone knowing he's there, that should be an option.
