auto-response message required? optional?
Is it required that a user use the auto-response from Step 4 of the setup process? I usually don't use an auto-responder unless I am away from e-mail for an extended period (vacation etc...) I really see the advantage here that I can post my AwayFind link on profile pages (like facebook and so on) and it notifies me if someone fills out the form. Rather than posting an e-mail address or phone #.
It's not like I wouldn't try it out but it isn't clear that I could choose NOT to use some features from the setup process...

Inappropriate?Hi Dave,
You can absolutely use your AwayFind link in other places...and you certainly don't need to use it in an auto responder. I'd be very interested to hear about any of the creative places you come up with using it.
One of the most common uses is in a signature block at the end of emails--since it offers an alternate method of phone contact (SMS) without revealing a phone number. For instance:
Mike Jones
Jones Consulting
I only check my email twice a day, to reach me sooner, click here: http://awayfind.com/mikejones
I hadn't thought to use it in Facebook, but frequently use it on Twitter. Let's say I'm in a city and curious if anyone wants to get lunch. Since I might not have email access and don't use Twitter SMS, I'll just post on Twitter:
I'm in DC just now, anyone up for lunch? AwayFind me if you're interested: http://awayfind.com/myname.
I guess it could be used similarly in a Facebook status update.
We'll try to make it more apparent on the site that there can be many other methods.
So go have fun with it, and feel free to share your alternate uses!
Cheers,
Jared
