Note that we only require a license to use user data to the extent that it is necessary to provide the service--for example, to display photos in a photo gallery or distributed shared files to recipients. -
Inappropriate?I understand that Sharpcast will need my permission to share my photos or files on a shared folder, but that license should be limited to provide the service and should be restricted to the life span of the account on SugarSync.
Sharpcast Inc requests a Perpetual License, so your company keeps the rights on my files even If close my account !!
This is the section 11 of Sharpcast Inc Terms for SugarSync service:
"11. Submissions. In order to make the Services available to you, we need to get a license from you for your Submissions; accordingly, you hereby grant to Sharpcast and to all persons to whom you make Submissions available through the Service, a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, transmit, cache, publish, display and distribute your Submissions in conjunction with the Services. You warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license to Sharpcast and that use of Submissions as contemplated in this Agreement will not infringe or violate the rights of any party."
