Sub collections?
is it possible to have a collection within a collection on shopify? for example, main collection = ribbon, within ribbon I want customers to choose from solid, prints for stripes and have specific products within each sub collection

Inappropriate?That's what we use tags for in Shopify. You simply assign tags for Solid, Prints, etc. Tags make this entire process automatic and allows customers much more flexible browsing within a collection than traditional sub collections.
Once setup you can link customers directly to /collections/ribbons/solid

Inappropriate?i had the same question! so im guessing do we need to create some code that would allow drop down menu to then include the TAGS (or Sub Collections). EG ... CYCLING PRODUCTS (Collection) – TT/Triathlon Bikes (TAG) Road Bikes (TAG) Wheels (TAG) etc etc
is there a feature or plugin that will allow the tags to be displayed under the main collection heading?

Inappropriate?I have a menu which displays a list of collections. When a collection is clicked it goes to that collection and the nav expands to show a list of product types under that collection.
If I then click on a product type it then shows all products for that product type, however the sub-nav list of product types disappears from my menu.
I can do exactly the same menu but for product tags and the menu still disapears.
