Offline and Unable to Read
I am trying to read books offline on my iPhone. I have tried to bookmark the book, but when I am on a plane or something, it will not permit me to read the book. If I bookmark individual chapters in the book, that seems to work. Short of bookmarking every single chapter in the book so that I can read the content offline, is there a way for me to simply bookmark the book as a whole? Is that clear? I just want to know how to download purchases to my iPhone so that I can access them when I am on planes, going through tunnels, or otherwise have no mobile reception or ability to connect to the internet.

Inappropriate?Hi there, I just wanted to weigh in here and ask what version of our application you are running for the iPhone? We released a new version last week which will automatically bookmark and download all purchased items. This would be version 1.1. Also, the first 10 items in your I'm Reading list are automatically downloaded to the device as well.
You'll probably be interested to know we are also working on a new release that will make this even clearer to our users - stay tuned, we are fine-tuning the app to make this a 100% seamless experience. -

I have 1.1 actually. When I was on the metro today, reading New Moon, I went to the next chapter and it wasn't on the iPhone. I've already read a few chapters of the book. It tried to connect to the webpage and the connection was lost so I had to stop reading while down there. Once I was back up on the street, I continued to read again on the bus.

Inappropriate?OK Jeffrey, can you try this - it should solve the issue and if doesn't please contact us directly through the website and we will refund your account since you've had so many issues. We will leave the book in your library and reading list so you can read it for free:
"If you have upgraded to the 1.1 application but continue to experience problems when reading your content (eg. garbled text or missing purchased items), try clearing your local content by selecting Settings, then Shortcovers, then choosing “Delete all local data.” Then re-launch the application. Your content should render completely."
