Sirius customer service sucks
I bought a Sirius SRPVK1 professional installation kit for my sat radio after the original power supply went bad. The kit is supposed to be supplied with a 5VDC & 12VDC harness. I require the 12V harness which was missing in my kit. I bought the kit from a distributor, so they say I have to get a replacement harness from the manufacturer. The manufacturer (Directed Electronics) says I am not covered under their warranty because I didn't but it directly from them. Sirius won't help because they say they do not make the kit. I paid >$29.00 for this kit and have not listened to my radio in months (I still have my subscription, which I believe I should be reimbursed for). The only advice I have been given is to buy another kit to get the part I need. The harness consists of a 3-pin connector with two wires in it and most likely costs all of 50 cents. I am not spending $30.00 for a $.50 part. I am anxious to get this resolved? If I cannot, I will cancel my subscription and get an HD radio.
