Inappropriate? Can you tell me what browser you are using? and where you see them not working? We dont see the problem when we check?
-
Inappropriate?None of the tutorial videos are loading either. I tried them in both IE 7 and Firefox 3.0.11

I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hi guys,
Do you guys have the latest Adobe Flash installed? Our videos are in Flash so it is required to view it. Here is the link to download Adobe Flash 10.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.
Let us know whether this was a problem or it is something else. -
Yes I have flash 10 installed. Videos work on other parts of the website just not on the tutorials page. When I click on any of them, a new windows opens up but it is blank. If I right click on the blank white area it says Movie Not Loaded and then also shows the About for Adobe Flash Player 10. I have tried in IE7 and Firefox so it definitely seems to be a code/page/source issue of some kind. When I load the http://www.sitemasher.com/video-tutor... page in IE there is an error icon in the lower left corner and when I click it the message is Line: 486 Char: 9 Error: Object doesn't support this property or method. -
Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
The embed object tags might have been causing the issue. I have removed those for now. Let us know if the videos are playing or not after the change.
Sorry for the inconvenience. -
Inappropriate?Nope still same problem and same error in IE when I load the page. Tried Firefox as well and made sure to clear my cache. You have a code error at line 486 according to IE. I'm baffled as to why you can't see this. Have you tried looking at it on another machine outside your network?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
We've investigated into the issue. which had to do with some DNS settings on our video servers. We've updated this so that it will work now, but as with DNS settings, it will usually take time before the changes propagate to you. I would say it takes about 1 day max for you to see the update. Thanks for your patience and please do let us know if you still can't see the videos. -
Inappropriate?well i just checked and now it seems that all the site videos are not working now. Before it was just the tutorials but now none of them work on the other pages either. I was excited about this platform but I'm losing confidence daily. This seems like it should be a simple problem to fix but it's taken you guys too long in my opinion to get it solved. I'm not sure I can put my company's website on a platform like this since it is mission critical to us.

Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
I'm sorry we've given you this impression.
The problem resulted from a typo of mine. I updated the DNS entries in our system incorrectly. Unfortunately, when I tested it from my home system I was connected to our VPN and thus was getting the correct DNS entries (but from a private DNS server, not our public one).
Because of this bonehead, I had incorrectly assumed that the public DNS was setup and working correctly.
Long story short, I hope we can win back your trust and I would be happy to talk with you about our platform architecture so that I can help address your concerns. (Suffice to say "typo"s don't happen on our platform, but can happen obviously outside of it - as was the case here). Please drop me an email (philc@sitemasher.com) if you'd like to discuss our platform in more detail
