A more modern and more Typepad way to enlarge pictures
To add awesomeness to the Typepad experience Six Apart should think about modernizing the way readers enlarge and view the pictures in our blogs.
Just opening a new window is very old fashioned.
Can't you change that in half an hour programming to an overlaying, blurring experience of the blog background and sliding open the enlarged picture as we see it everywhere around these days? That would be really great. Thanks.

Inappropriate?thanks for the suggestion - it's probably not a "half hour" in programming time with all the browsers/OS's we support across millions of people, but I understand the intent of your suggestion, and I think it's a good one. Do you have an example of a site that you like that's doing something similar?

Inappropriate?I think ralf is referring to something like Lightbox2. It really doesn't take long to implement from a dev perspective unless you're not using a common Javascript library like Prototype or jQuery. Then you'll have some wheel reinvention to do.

Inappropriate?Lightbox2 would be the best route. Simple Javascript and simple CSS addition.
