How can I edit comments with TypePad Connect?
In the old TypePad comments, I could edit a reader's comment. But with upgrading to TypePad Connect, that option is no longer available. Editing capability was really helpful for the instances where obscenities got out of control, as well as a few other occasions.
I don't like to censor readers, but every now and then this was a really useful tool. Can we get this back?

Inappropriate?Hi Allen!
I'm about 90% sure that comment editing will be introduced into TypePad Connect but let me confirm that with the Connect team. -
Inappropriate?Allen, it looks like this is a planned feature but it will take a bit of time to implement. Our Connect team is working on it, though.

this is one of the best points

Ok--good news on that. Thanks Colleen! -
Inappropriate?yep - that team knows that this important (especially if a commenter leaves sensitive information by accident in a comment) so it's on the roadmap.
-
I definitely faced that problem, too. I wound up re-writing the comment for the reader without the sensitive info. -
Inappropriate? Will the comment editing be enabled by the time we are forced to switch over? I don't think we should be forced to switch to a system with less functionality than we have now. Also, will commenters be able to delete their own comments as they can in Blogger? I think that is a great way to give people more control over their online content even if it's not their website.
-
Yes, comments will be editable before then. I don't know about plans for any other features currently, though. -
Good, I'm glad to hear comment editing will be included. I hope user control over comments (like there is here) will be introduced later. -
Inappropriate?I am also happy to know that this is a feature that will soon be added to TypePad Connect. Don't make us wait too long!
I’m looking forward to the upgrade
-
Inappropriate?So...how much longer for this now? I need it yesterday. Also...I'd like an update on how long before we may use our Blackberrys to view and make comments on TypePad blogs.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Anything, guys?
I've now had to delete many reader responses because I can't edit the content. It's pretty difficult to build community this way.
I’m surprised it's been 3 months since I first asked about this.
-
Allen, this feature is now available with the all new TypePad. I've granted you access to it - next time you log into TypePad, you'll see a link in the top right corner that will switch you. Please take it for a spin and let us know what you think! -
hello allen, why do u have to edit your content? is your content receiving bad comments? hmmmm spam comments shouldnt be appearing since spam blocker is automatically applied to every typepad blog. Hmmm my tip for you is to go your list post, click on the topic which you wanted to edit. copy all the contents txt, save it in a notepad, then click on the "edit html" so you have greater back up just incase, then save it in a note pad. What you have to do is to edit the content in a notepad and then when its all configured, paste it again. and then thats it. your post has been edited. The technique there is that if you cant edit your post directly in the compose area, copy all the text and edit it in a notepad and then paste it again in the compose box, that's what i used to do if im having some errors, thank you and i hope that one helps.
