How to export my Vox blog?
Please tell me how can I export the content of my vox blog. I want to delete my blog but I want to keep my content. Ideally in a standard format to enable to reuse the content, should I decide to blog again. Thanks!

Inappropriate?We're sorry to see you go. We do have a complicated way for doing this, meaning you'll need to understand a bit of code. We're working on an easier method for this. Looks like one of our engineers wrote something awhile back but not sure how it'll work now for you: http://deflatermouse.vox.com/library/....

Inappropriate?Yes it's one of our top requested features as well. We don't have a date for when it'll be available. Sorry to disappoint but I can get back to you when I do know more.

Inappropriate?Please let me know about a new method when it becomes available. I really want to print my blog -- but all programs that do that require you do either export the blog content or RSS flow into their program. Unfortunately, I can't find away to allow the full RSS flow -- only the abreviated one -- so I'm failing all around. Thanks.

It looks like the full feed is available using this format: http://[username].vox.com/library/posts/rss-full.xml. -
Inappropriate?2 months ago and still no export? I've learned my lesson about online services: make sure you can take you material with you when you leave. Feel like I'm being held ransom on Vox.

Inappropriate?Isn't there some way to parse the data out of the RSS feed? That seems to be a standard format. Seems reasonably simple to take that and convert it to another format, like some sort of blog export format.

Inappropriate?It seems there are a lot of people waiting for a export and there is not much movement. The vox site is really badly updated with information on what is actually happening. Reading the knowledge base all the posts are from 2007 and none of them seem to be updated. It just looks like nothing happend on VOX and there is no development going on. I signed up and have found so many things I didn't like that i have decided to move to Word Press. Now i realise that there is no way to get my content out. So once signed up one can't leave... that's nice.....
Its like this page i just found when googleing for export.. there is no mention in a obvious place about this page..

Inappropriate?Export is the kind of feature that should have been in the product at first release. I feel stupid not having thought to check for that when I signed up. Vox has become way too crufty, compared with other free services such as Tumblr. I'm pulling my blog even if I have to retype everything. Adios!

Can you guys give ANY kind of indication whats going on and if the feature is even close. Even if it was in beta ?!?!?!? Rather quiet here

Joelle - Sorry to hear that you are frustrated but the export feature is not on our current roadmap. I cannot give an answer as to when we'll have this available. If it does become a scheduled feature, then I'll be sure to let you know.
