How do I add Loudtwitter to my Typepad blog?
How do I add Loudtwitter (http://loudtwitter.com) functionality to my Typepad blog? The ATOM API and XMLRPI don't seem to be supported, and the email to post functionality is just fugly. I'm not a business class user, so I can't set up a "guest author."
Thanks for any help!

Inappropriate?Hi,
The post-by-email feature is actually quite nice, anything in particular you don't like about it?
Atom posting should just work too.

Inappropriate?I use the moblogging option as the guest author option didn't work. But in the last few days the formatting has failed and all the text is now continuous with no space between tweets - so I might have to reconsider using LoudTwitter.

Something has changed in the way TypePad formats incoming emails. I'll talk with concerned team members here to know what's going on, in the meantime I can help you out with an atom posting, but I need to know your blog address (and twitter name) -
Inappropriate?Oh, your .co.uk url is the reason why Guest Author setup didn't work. But don't worry we'll make it work using atom:
all you have to do is:
- login on loudtwitter
- click "ATOM API posting configuration"
- you'll be asked for an url, username and password.
- the url for your blog is: http://www.typepad.com/services/atom/svc=blogs/blog_id=6a00e552103050883400e551f921168833
- the username and password are your TypePad's
- click 'OK'
- then 'home'
- in shipment preference, make sure it says "atom" and not "guest" or "email". If not, set it to atom, and save by clicking "set"
You should be able to verify it works by using the "Try it out, now" link at the top.
let me know how it goes.

Inappropriate?Mine is http://rikomatic.com or http://rikomatic.typepad.com
Thanks for any help with getting the atom api to work! -
Inappropriate?Hi all, here is how to find your own atom endpoint for your blog, it works (or a slight variation of it) on every TypePad blog.
on your home page, "view source" of the page, you'll find a<link />element in the<head />with a "RSD" title. copy that url and paste it in the url bar. in rik's case this is:
http://www.typepad.com/services/rsd/6...
Depending on the browser it will display a text file, or will ask you where to download it, in the later case, open it with a text editor. In there you'll find some xml description describing a bunch of apis, their names and links. We're interested in the "Atom" api which in the above case has the following link:
http://www.typepad.com/services/atom/svc=blogs/blog_id=6a00d8341c77b053ef00d83453c06569e2
This is what you should put in loudtwitter's atom endpoint field.

Inappropriate?FYI, I've been told that the formatting of post-by-email has been fixed, so if you wanted you could reenable this method of posting and it should just work. Reopen this thread if not, thanks!
