How do I export/import only specific posts?
I recently condensed the number of sections within my website/blog to make it more reader friendly. As I was going through all the posts and updating categories, I noticed that I had a few posts that did not belong in "that" section, but rather, should go in another section altogether. By "section" I mean a different blog within my website. My "sections" are not "Categories," they are separate blogs. How can I import/export just specific posts and not an entire blog?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Unfortunately there is no way to export only certain posts. The export file is human readable (not encoded, etc) so you could make an export of everything, open the file in a text editor and then delete the posts you don't want. However, if its just 3 or 4 posts its probably easier to copy and paste them directly from the compose screen.

I would like to suggest adding the ability to export posts by (user supplied) date range. -
Inappropriate?Thank you Garth for explaining how to do this. What I did was export the entire blog, then I used "Find" to find the name of the post within the TextEditor Exported file on my desktop. Then I highlighted the post I wanted to import to my new blog and pasted it into a new TextEditor file and saved it as a .txt file. I then went to my new blog, clicked on import/export and went through the import process for the .txt file with the single post. It worked beautifully. Thank you!
I’m Happy!
