How to Get Email with Typepad Website?
I want to create my website on Typepad (it is currently with web.com) but I want to retain my email address which is xxxx@mydomainname.us How do I do this using Typepad as my hosting company? I understand I will need to purchase an email package from a different hosting company (like GoDaddy), but I'm confused about how to link the email and the Typead website.

Inappropriate?Hi Kathy-
Your new blog will be hosted by TypePad, and you will be able to use it with the email address you register with. So there is no problem keeping your existing email address.
Even if you choose to map your TypePad blog to a particular domain, you will still keep your chosen email address as your sign in and contact.
I hope that answers your question,

Inappropriate?Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for your reply! That actually wasn't my question but I've figured it out in the meantime, so I'm a happy camper!!

Inappropriate?I also have this problem. Kathy if you're reading this, how did you solve it?
I’m hoping I'll find a solution - but not counting on it.

Inappropriate?Hi Simply Yum,
When I set up my website on Typepad, I did the domain mapping, which creates the proper URL: www.andnowpresenting.us. Then I bought an email package (really inexpensively) from www.godaddy.com and followed their instructions to forward my email to a POP account in Outlook, set up as kathy@andnowpresenting.us. I don't actually remember all the steps now, but at the time, it was very easy. The instructions were quite comprehensive.
Hope that helps!
Kathy

Thankyou so much for this! I didn't think about a third party email host. It's a shame Typepad can't pick up the reigns on this instead so people wouldn't have to fork out more money.
I've only just noticed the reply to this 'cause my getsatisfaction account was still sending update emails to my old address >.<
Thankyou again for your help :-D -
