Images in horizontal row preference. How?
Within a post, what is proper way to place 3 to 4 images in a row, avoiding the automatic vertical stacking of images on top of each other? In addition, would like to insert a few blank spaces between each image.
How to do above?

Hi there!
We actually don't recommend copying and pasting from Word or Works into the TypePad editor, as it can transfer with it some malformed code that can disrupt your blog's display and even corrupt your feed.
The best way to add images to a blog post, so that they appear side-by-side, is to use the Custom option when inserting an image, and set the image to "Float Left". Then, click the Insert Image again and choose your image. Set the image to "Float Left". Repeat this for each image you want to appear on the same horizontal line. Once the visible/usable space is used up on a single line, they'll automatically drop to the next line. To maximize the number of images for each line, you'll want to select the "small" or "medium" option for the images.
Hope this helps!

Inappropriate? This is a very common problem due to the very linear (top to bottom) way in which raw HTML works. I've had success when designing websites by putting the images in individual cells of a table. If you have a word processor package like Word or MS Works, you can draw the table in a new document then copy/paste it into Typepad's compose box.
I’m confident this'll work

I typically use PhotoBucket for multiple images but this is a tasty tip for quickly lining up a few pics. Thank you. -
Very true about the malformed code, I've fallen foul to this before when copy pasting documents into an email.
I should have stipulated switching to HTML view then copying ONLY the code pertinent to creating the table.
I used this method to properly align the images with the bullet list text on the recipe page of my blog.
