Internet Explorer "Aborting" Web Site (My TypePad Blog)
In Internet Explorer on PCs users try to load my TypePad blog and about 10 seconds after loading the site they get an "Operation Aborted" message. Click OK and the site closes. See screenshot below. What javascript or other code on the blog is causing this?

Inappropriate?I just tried to visit http://ben.casnocha.com using IE7 on a PC and was able to sucessfully load the page. No errors, no delay.

Inappropriate?Ben, I'm not seeing the error either. Do you know which version of IE this is happening in?
I am seeing that there are at least two missing closing div tags and that's causing the right hand column to fall below the middle column. Have you made any edits recently at all, to the template or adding new content?
I'd also recommend using an HTML validator to check the page for errors:

Inappropriate? It happens on IE 7 (and maybe other versions) on a PC. It seems to sporadically not work.

Inappropriate?Ben, I've checked over the source HTML for the main page of the weblog and I'm not able to pinpoint the issue. I'm going to ask the rest of the TypePad team for help on this, as it often helps to have more eyes on an issue.
In the meantime, you may wish to remove any code you've added recently, save, and then view the blog in IE7 to see if that helps to track down the problematic code.
Thanks for your patience with this. I'm confident that we can find the issue and get this resolved. -
Thanks - I appreciate it - look forward to hearing back. -
Inappropriate?Hi Ben,
I'm noticing some weirdness with the behavior of the page when the Shelfari widget loads on the left. Can you try removing this widget and check if the error still occurs? -
Thanks for trying that out for me, I'm looking deeper into it now. -
Inappropriate?Hi Ben - are you still seeing this happen?
