OpenID problem
When I try to log in with my typepad openID it says that my credentials could not be verified. I did notice however that the OpenID URL uses typekey (http://profile.typekey.com/d0nnatr0y) and my profile URL uses typepad (http://profile.typepad.com/d0nnatr0y). Could this be the problem? How can I fix this? Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi d0nnatr0y, can you tell us which service you're trying to login using TypePad as OpenID?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Geysa,
I've had problems trying to leave comments on blogs powered by Blogger. In order to leave a comment, I have to sign in. I select "Typepad" then type in "d0nnatr0y" so that the url reads: http://profile.typekey.com/d0nnatr0y
But when I try to post the comment, I get an error message telling me that my OpenID credentials could not be verified.
What am I doing wrong?

I got the EXACT same problem less than an hour ago :o
I found I could post a comment if I had the typepad dashboard open in a new tab on my browser.
I don't know what the comment will look like though on the page 'cause it "needs to be owner approved" :P -
Inappropriate?Hello Donna, thanks for sharing, well if you want to reply to a comment on blogger blog using typekey. You can simply add at the end your typepad profile name which is d0nnatr0y. Because typekey is now already Typepad :) or you can reply using the name/URL function. That's what i used to do because its a good way to drive traffic directly to your home page.

Inappropriate?Hi Sampaguita, thanks for commenting. That is exactly what I have been trying to do, but I get the response of "credentials not validated" and cannot figure out why! Any thoughts?

Hi d0natr0oy, in order for your TypePad username to be allowed as OpenID to blogger, you must be logged in to TypePad under the same username. Otherwise we can't verify your credentials. Could you check if you're logged in to TypePad under the same account you're trying to use as OpenID? -
Interesting... How did you get Blogger to keep your credentials? I'm forced to enter my OpenID everytime I want to comment.... Have you tried deleting this or hitting Edit and trying to set it up again? -
Inappropriate?I have no idea! I have tried resetting it up several times, refreshing the page, even coming back to it later. However, I'm starting to wonder if it is just on certain blogs because this morning I was successfully able to leave a comment on another Blogger blog going through the exact same steps. For some reason it worked! I went back and tried the blog pictured above and had the same problem. And that blog is not the only blog where I've encountered this problem. Now I really don't know what to think!
-
Inappropriate? This is very annoying. I've been trying to leave nice comments on others blogs but I can't because of this issue.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who's having this problem! I hope we can figure it out- it is extremely frustrating!
-
Inappropriate?I've never been able to leave blogger comments with the Typepad OpenId either. I believe I've tried just about everything and have finally resorted to just selecting the Name/URL option to type my blog address in manually.
I’m frustrated.

I've had the same problem. I end up typing in my ID, not that big a deal, but annoying.
In fact, I had quite a time logging in here, as my openID rarely seems to work. (d'oh, maybe it's just me) -
Inappropriate?Hi everyone, could you please share with us the Blogger blogs where the OpenID signin is not working? This would help us troubleshoot.
-
Inappropriate?Okay, I had a bad time signing in here, even though I was logged into typepad on my browser.
I went to www.experienceology.com and tried to add a comment, tried twice to log in using open ID and Typepad. Here's the error message I got the second time, telling me to sign out and use the correct account. Only one problem -- as far as I know, I only HAVE one account, and the link in the image is ME.
What am i not getting here???
I’m confused

Inappropriate? Here are two blogs I've been unable to leave comments on:
http://galatiotophoto.blogspot.com/
http://amazon-princess.blogspot.com/
If this helps, here's a Blogger blog where I WAS able to leave a comment.
http://indefenseoftheblue.blogspot.com/
This comment interface is different from the others which I suspect has to do with why it works and the others don't.
Thank you for looking into this! :) -
Inappropriate?d0nnatr0y, do you see the same "you are already logged in" error when you try to comment?
-
Inappropriate? No, I don't. Just the Open ID credentials could not be verified.
-
Inappropriate?Folks, thanks so much for all the good info you've provided. We are now working with Google to fix this issue. They believe this problem will be solved shortly, so please bear with us for just a while longer.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Geysa, I just wanted to check in on this issue. I've noticed I am now able to sign-in to leave a comment on Blogger blogs, but instead of displaying my name, it displays what I assume must be a customer or profile number:
This was on the blog:
http://uglyrug.blogspot.com/2009/10/d...
I thought it might have been a one time fluke but it's happened on 2 other Blogger blogs in the last week or so.
Any help or insight is appreciated!
Thanks!

still working on this - it looks like a bug that popped back up again after we'd squashed it. :/ -
Inappropriate?I am having a similar problem - when I try to comment with Open ID my name shows up as a long number - how do I fix this?
-
Inappropriate?yup, we're still seeing this as a bug for some people - looks like it was squashed, then somehow came back - we're working on it, and I'll check in the meantime about if there's a way to work around it.
I’m sorry there's not a more clear answer right now.
-
Inappropriate?I had the same problem posting comments, but found that if I loggin under "openid" instead of Typepad it lets me comment.
-
Inappropriate?I can't login at all using my profile name. Perhaps it because I don't know what that is? My blog is:
mangoisland.typepad.com/mango-island
Since blogger will only allow me to enter info after the slash I've tried it but still does'n't work.
