Is there any way to develop and test a Typepad widget without giving SixApart my credit card information?

Inappropriate?It isn't actually required to be a TypePad subscriber in order to develop a TypePad Widget and submit it to the Widget Gallery. You're able to create a free TypePad Connect account (http://www.typepad.com/connect/) which will give you access to the API key that is required.
That said, it is not currently possible to test/install your widget without having access to a TypePad blog.
