logging in to skribit widget: password field and login button focus
I went to suggest a topic on a blog's skribit widget, and I decided to log in. (Click login.) I typed in my user name (titanium_geek) and the password field (was empty) was filled. "oh cool" I thought. "firefox has remembered my password." However, the focus on the "login" button was greyed out. I clicked it, thought "huh?" then realized that I had to type in my password, as the asterisks looked suspiciously like "password" like length. I typed in my password, and finally was able to log in.
So, I was wondering if this could be fixed? It's very confusing.

Inappropriate? That's a weird problem, I'll see what can be done. Depending on the complexity of the fix, this might have to wait until version 2 of the widget.
I’m sorry

Inappropriate?I don't mind if it doesn't have any text- it just looks like the default text is "password" except it's rendered as "********"
weird.
I’m my frown is going up.

Inappropriate? It is probably auto-filling the right password. I think the problem is that the login button doesn't detect that the autofill took place. I think the best fix (at least in the interim) might be to disable autofill for the password.
I’m not quite satisfied w/ my answer

Inappropriate?Out of curiosity, what browser are you using? I'm using FF3 and it actually works as expected (password is autofilled, login button is enabled).
I’m same as before
-
Inappropriate?erm, I was using FF3, possibly RC2. I will try again?
Using FF3, (mac) when I hit tab to focus on the password field, the login button glowed! I could log in!
So: password field needs focus before log in button works.
I’m thankful it worked

still confusing though, which isn't good for useability
