Skype should put more effort into linux version due to increasing user base
Skype for linux is not getting the upgrades and updates to keep it in step with other operating systems. With increasing numbers of linux users due to popular distributions such as Ubuntu and many others, it about time that skype for linux got upgraded. There are many features lacking from the linux version and many reports of intermittent video calling quality.

Inappropriate?Agreed. It's been at least 1.5 years since an update.
With the newer versions of linux coming out there are all kinds of problems popping up. I've resorted to running my mac laptop next to my desk just so I can use skype (a requirement for work).
Pretty damn frustrating.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Great idea! I've missed out on inheriting so much money from my relatives in Africa - members of the royal family, none the less - because I could not authenticate my identity.
In fact, the one time I could send my bank details by chat, my messages were intercepted and I was e-robbed. A newer version with better security would surely have afforded me the protection of my Window-loving brothers.
Oh well.
I’m Worried. So, Worried.

Inappropriate?Oh! And far as video is concerned, Linux users are surely not the most attractive but should be allowed to show off nonetheless.
I’m indifferent

Sounds kind of troll-ish to come into this topic and be so mean-spirited. -
I think you're spreading flamebait by calling us trolls mean spirited. In other news, you may want to read up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-dep... . Thanks for the feedback. I've chewed on it, now I'm giving it back. -
Inappropriate?I agree, Skypes video is the one area where its lacking on linux. Hoping for a new version too.
