Skype to go disconnected?
Skype to go no longer working. Number disconnected and don't have a new number in my area. All of a sudden my Skype to Go number had "technical problems." Now when trying to call it, it's disconnected. It has disappeared, along with all of the contacts, from my account. It asks me to set up a new number. The only numbers available in my state are long distance. I am in Burlington VT - all of VT is 802 area code, but it is not all local. What happened?
An added note: My Skype user name is radiodeli and the Skyp2go number that no longer works is 802-735-2534. When dialing that number I get "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again." This number DID work for me before, at least for a couple of months. I liked it so much I went from a monthly account to a yearly one, and now it doesn't work.
The only numbers that seem to be available now are in Jacksonville VT, which though in the same area code are long distance. I live in the biggest city of the state, Burlington, so it seems odd to me there are no local numbers available.

Inappropriate?I have had the same problem for 10 days now. Skype's replies are very frustrating and Peter hasn't returned with a solution. The one and only Miami
access number has been disconnected. I bought a year's subscription to Unlimited World only to be able to talk to my family through land lines.
Can a company get more unprofessional? Take the money, don't deliver....

SO basically, they are telling me they closed out my support ticket and if I haven't found an answer to start all over. Frustrated is not even close to what I feel right now.

Inappropriate?my skype to go was suddenly disconnected with out warning although my account tells me that is still my number. Am desperate to speak to family as i am in OZ and they are in Uk.No help from customer services any suggestions?

Inappropriate?I have the same problem - my Skype To Go number just stopped working - now I get a message saying "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service!" The Skype support folks responded with their usual "We are working on the problem!" message. I wish Skype would provide an estimated date or duration by when the problem will be fixed. This is the second time this has happened in the past 4 months.

Inappropriate?Still no answer. Every day I log in to Skype and go through the process of setting up a new number. Never anything available locally. The only numbers that seem to be available are in remote locations with very little population. All are long distance.
In regards to customer service, if someone from Skype posts on this board that they will investigate, they should follow through. If they are unable to provide this service for some reason, then at least be honest and say so. -
